1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government connection. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or files documents for users.

Its purpose is to identify the Grundy County Sheriff's Records Division, Circuit Clerk, Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification, Illinois Sex Offender Registry, and other sources that may assist personal research, along with separately operated tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you must not:

• Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
• Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
• Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
• Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
• Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
• Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this site or a linked tool must never be used to harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate, conduct that may also violate criminal law. Illinois Sex Offender Registry information exists for public-safety awareness; 730 ILCS 152/115 does not authorize threats, trespass, vigilantism, or unlawful discrimination against a registrant.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

Any check required for a regulated purpose must be obtained through an appropriate official Illinois State Police process or an FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is informational, not legal advice. Although it describes Grundy County record systems, only a licensed Illinois attorney can advise how a charge, conviction, warrant, expungement, or sealing law applies to particular facts.

6. No Warranties

Everything on this site is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that:

• The site will stay up and running without interruptions

11. Governing Law

Illinois law governs these terms, including applicable protections under the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act, 815 ILCS 505. Any dispute arising from site use must be brought in Illinois. Illinois public-record requests remain governed by the Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140, and ISP conviction-information dissemination by 20 ILCS 2635.
